Bishop Mendoza's Visit Bishop José Luis Mendoza Corzo of Tuxtla Gutiérrez, México visited Saints Peter and Paul from August 21st through the 27th. Bishop Mendoza is the Auxillary Bishop of Fr. Carmelo‘s Diocese, and we were very honored to have him visit us. Bishop Mendoza was with us at the 10:30 a.m. Mass on Sunday, August 22nd, presided at the 1:30 p.m. Spanish Mass and after Mass provided a Mini-Retreat for our Hispanic Community. We welcome Bishop Mendoza to Saints Peter and Paul and thank him for Fr. Carmelo‘s presence and service here in the Diocese of Owensboro.

Thanksgiving Food "Basket" Distribution The Knights of Columbus worked throughout the month to prepare for the distribution of holiday food to 25 families in Christian County, and ten families in Todd County. Thanks to all who donated to this cause!

Ordination of Father Josh McCarty
Deacons Daniel Dillard and Josh McCarty were ordained
to the Priesthood on May 30th by Bishop John J. McRaith, Bishop Emeritus of
the Diocese of
Owensboro. The celebration at St. Stephen
Cathedral was attended by more than 400 people. Both men graduated in
May from St.
Meinrad School of Theology. |
